We had a good cruise from Bodrum to Marmaris during early September of 2013.
A chef is always important in situations like these and Hassan certainly rose to the occasion, delivering a range of tasty, nutritious and healthy meals doing more than justice to the Turkish cuisine under difficult conditions.
The boat hands Arkhan and Aktihm were extremely diligent, keeping the boat spotless at all times. Aktihm was particularly pleasant with an omnipresent mischievous smile!
Duran, the skipper, performed his task well, demonstrating good seamanship at all times and proving to be an expert at preparing just about anything on the bow mounted barbeque. He chose a sensible route, selecting good overnight stops in beautiful coves, passages and charming villages. Communicating our route, advice and suggestions about what to do ashore and engagement generally was somewhat limited.
Our diverse group from South Africa and New Zealand got on really well, truly enjoying the on board hospitality.
We were somewhat disappointed that the boat was not fully equipped to sail rather than motor all the time. An on board wind surfer and snorkelling gear would have been welcome as well.
Besides that, we had a great time. Boating Turkey were flexible regarding our needs arriving and departing and we will use them again.

Our recent two week holiday with Captain Cevat, Hassan & Bulent onboard Yildizhanlar 11 with 3 other couples from Australia, I would describe as a wonderful life experience that was thoroughly enjoyable with lovely memories!
Where to start? The scenery from Bodrum to Gocek was incredible, the swimming in such clear tranqual waters amazing.
The food Bulent cooked was absolutely devine, always varied and obviously lots of preparation and thought put into each meal, we ate like kings and queens! The chips in the morning omelette, the fresh fish and chicken dishes were a real hit!
Captain Cevat was a delight, his knowledge of the areas we travelled, his expertise sailing and handling his gulet was obvious and reassuring, we felt very safe and looked after. We appreciated that Captain Cevat took the time to accompany us on some of our excursions, we obviously learnt more about the surroundings by having him with us to ask any questions and knowing where to go to get the best view.
But the real hidden treasure onboard Yildizhanlar 11 was Hassan, his gentle, obliging manner to our every whim was just amazing. Hassan made a point to remember what each of us liked to drink upon waking, he would have a lovely cup of turkish tea, coffee or apple tea ready for us. All throughout the day, Hassan made sure we were comfortable, well fed and watered (including the best knock your socks off gin and tonics!) he took care of all our domestic duties. Hassan did this in a very unobtrusive and professional manner, it was an absolute delight to of met him. (His smile is priceless!)
I could not fault our trip, it was just what we were looking for, lots of relaxing, reading, eating, relaxing, sleeping, eating, drinking, sleeping!
I hope other Australians take advantage of this wonderful adventure and have a wonderful trip on a gulet like us.
We had a wonderful week holidaying on board one of Boating Turkeys gulets in September 2016. We left from Marmaris, visited Rhodes, Bozborum, a number of Turkish bays, Datca, Symi, Nisyros, Kos and disembarked at Bodrum. We found Necmi Artar very straightforward and helpful to deal with during the planning and arrival phase and it was great to be able to be so flexible in choosing our itinerary. The crew were very friendly and keen to help and Volkan was a wonderful cook and spearfisherman! We would definitely be very happy to use Boating Turkey again and Turkey remains one of our favourite places in the world. If only it was closer to New Zealand!
Thanks once again for all of your help. We had a fabulous trip. Everything was very smooth, including all of the transfers, beverage stocking, and Dalyan river tour (Suleyman Toker, the guide, was very excellent). Captain Cevat and the crew were all excellent as well as you had mentioned, Hassan, the cook, was fantastic.
