Gulf of Fethiye (Marmaris > Fethiye > Marmaris)

Day 1: Marmaris
The boarding starts at 3:30 p.m. from Marmaris Harbour. On the first day, the service starts on the boat with dinner and overnight stay will be in Marmaris harbour (The private groups have the chance to leave Marmaris harbour for overnight on a close bay to Marmaris). Marmaris, which was built upon the antique Karian city; Phyckos has been under the governorship of many different civilisations. The most valuable work-piece that you will see today is Marmaris Castle dating from 1577. There is also a mosque and an 8-room caravansary covered with arches from the Ottoman Period. The ruins of the Antique times lie on Asar Hill; a short hill located on the northern side of the city. Being one of the best-known touristic places of Turkey Marmaris also has a large marina.

Day 2: Ekincik Gulf - Dalyan
While you have breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise programme and the boat. Cruise will start with Ekincik Gulf. If you want, you may join our optional Dalyan Tour from here. In this tour you will enjoy the natural beauty of the delta as you pass along by the river boat called Piyade. Finally you will arrive in Dalyan which is a Karian City known to be founded by Miletos' son. Besides its ancient value with its Rock Tombs, Akropol Castle, Ancient Theater and Basilica complex, Dalyan is also well-known for it natural beauty with Caretta- Caretta (İztuzu) Beach. Because of wavy capes, Diş ibilmez and Kurtoğlu, that we have to cross place, we will cruise earlier than the other days and reach the famous Fethiye Gulf. We will anchor near Tershane Island for breakfast. This naturally protected bay, which is used as a harbour at present, was used as shipyards in Byzantine and Ottoman times. For lunch and a swimming break, we will go to Manastır Bay. This place is also known as Cleopatra Bay or Sunken Bath Bay due to the beautiful underwater ruins of a bath. By the end of the day we will have anchored at Kızıl Burun for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Fethiye

Fethiye, which was known as Telmessos in the ancient times, was the most important city situated on Lykia's western border with Karia. It is believed that the city's name came from Apollon's son Telmessos. As the name suggests the city was the city of light and was famous for its prophets. Fethiye stretches out in a half circle along the bay protected by 12 Islands. You can visit the city center or you can join our optional tours to ölüdeniz and Saklıkent. What our clients say!

Dear Necmi,

Thank you very much for arranging our Turkish Gulet holiday in July, 2009. This was our second boating holiday with Boating Turkey, and we absolutely loved it! We chartered the Miriam Sophie, a 28 metre luxury gulet with two other families, and cruised from Marmaris, through Turkey, to Symi and Rhodes. Our captain and his family, who were the crew, were very amenable, and did everything they could to make our trip fantastic. The food was superb, you really wonder how they can whip up such great dishes on a boat! The coves and islands we visited were all gorgeous, and the highlight I think was our 3 nights in Symi, the harbour was just gorgeous, with Italian colonial architecture and brilliant cafes, then the following 2 nights were spent in little coves with the most magnificent blue water to swim in. The captain also took us to his home port in Turkey, Green Village, which was delightful.

The itinerary was very flexible, and crew happy to accommodate our choices. The boat was immaculately maintained, the cabins were large and roomy, the bathrooms were spacious and had a proper shower and toilet. There was loads of deck space both up front with sunbeds for all, and at the rear, which was enormous. We loved to sleep on deck, falling asleep with the stars at night. The captain was very skilled, we were amazed how he could manoevre such a large boat into tight spaces.

All in all, we had a brilliant experience. The booking and organization process was extremely simple, easy and smooth, and Necmi was very patient with us as we changed plans several times during the booking and departure period. The drinks etc were all pre-ordered via the net.

If you want a truly relaxing holiday, the sun and breeze in your face and not a care in the world, you can't beat this. No TV (they did actually have TV but we didn't tell the kids that) no phones, no worries.....

Dear Necmi,

We had the most wonderful holiday in Turkey. Your booking and organizing service was excellent. It was quick and efficient. The boat was terrific and was exactly as requested. The boat was in very good condition and had everything that we needed. The collection of the boat and the handing back was very easy and efficient. The captain Patrick Truscott, that you arranged was excellent. He was a good captain, good sailor and had excellent knowledge of the area and Turkey in general. Being English and married to a Turkish lady his language skills were very good. I would highly recommend him to captain any English speaking clients. We would all highly recommend your organization for any boating trip to Turkey. You are more than welcome to use me as a reference for anyone who requires information on your organization.
