Scott will unlikely have the time to respond so I though I would respond based on what he and my daughters said to me and my experience. I was so sorry not to go as it sounded like they had a great time and Turkey looks spectacularly beautiful. I am recovering well from the back surgery (but definitely would have preferred sailing!) I appreciated all your help with the arrangements and your promptness on getting back to me with any questions. They found the boat to be very clean, and with all the details as specified. The depth sounder did not work on the GPS console in the cockpit, and there were some issues with the alarm setting. ( The alarm went off on the depth at 10 meters....which meant the depth sounder was in a constant alarm state(noise!) while anchoring. ). I have had the intention to write this message when we are back to Norway. I had no clue about Turkish Gulets before, but after spending a week on a “Deluxe Class Gulet” in ultimate comfort, now I believe she highly deserves this classification. Many thanks to BoatingTurkey Team and the spectacular crew members on board who made our vacation memorable, stress free experience with full of generosity and friendship. Furthermore the itinerary was well thought of and the sightseeing was very impressive. Special thanks to Captain Mustafa for his kind hospitality and to invite all of us at the end of the charter to his home in the lovely village called “cilek” which means ‘strawberry’ in English.
