We just returned from one of the most decadent, luxurious, and relaxing vacations we have ever taken with our family. What a lovely surprise this was as I found out about Boating Turkey online. After reading the testimonials from other clients and contacting a few of them directly to get their first hand opinions, I was convinced by their rave reviews and felt confident that the trip would be a success. Necmi Artar, the tour manager, was a pleasure to work with. Together, we mapped out several destinations to sail to in the Gulf of Bodrum. Necmi was always a pleasure to work with. Every time I emailed him he replied immediately. I found this comforting and never felt the need to speak with Necmi by phone, or worried that some part of the trip would fall through the cracks. He answered every question I had with virtual smile on his face. The gulet we were on was immaculate, and very spacious. We never felt overcrowded. The crew were very accommodating. In fact, part way through the trip we decided that we wanted to spend some evenings in ports that had entertainment. The captain of the ship fully accommodated our request by turning the boat around and sailing in the other direction towards Greece. We were on the sea during the day and in some fantastic ports by night. Lastly, the food was fresh and very tasty. "Having just returned from a week on Sun-World IX we have to say it was one of the best sailing trips we have ever had. The company “Boating Turkey” were wonderful to deal with from the very first email from Necmi. The “4 star” boat was very comfortable, well maintained and the captain and crew were excellent and waited on us hand and foot. The weather was excellent, sun shining every day and we visited some lovely bays and most of us swam every day. The water was crystal clear in most bays and although a little on the chilly side some days as it is tends to be in the Mediterranean, it was great to warm up in the sun then jump in to cool off. The chef was excellent and most of the food was typical Turkish style, made with very fresh ingredients and very tasty. The crew made a big effort to please everyone which is quite a feat in a party of 19 and also adapted meals to meet the special dietary requirements of some of our group. Although the group was large the boat was even larger and there was a cabin with ensuite for every 2 or 3 people and of course there was huge amounts of deck space to sunbathe, read or just lounge around. Some nights were warm and some people slept on the many cushions and sun beds up on deck but others found it was cool enough to sleep in their cabins with or without the air-conditioning working which was only when the generator was on. Having sailed at various places around the world on both bareboat and crewed charters over the last 32 years, we feel well qualified to say that this was a wonderful experience and we would love to sail with Boating Turkey again. I have organised my 40th birthday celebrations renting a gulet for a week with Boating Turkey. The trip was a dream come true and exceeded my expectations! From beginning to end, the trip was perfect. We were welcomed by Gursel who is the representative of Boating Turkey in Gocek who was very friendly, relaxed and helpful. This was the tone for the whole trip. The boat itself was clean, in excellent condition and more importantly, the Captain Cevat, the Chef and Hasan were amazing. They really made the trip very special: helfpul, friendly, excellent... They seemed to be attentive to our needs and respond to them in a discreet way. Everyone on the trip agreed that they were great. The food was delicious and varied. I would highly recommend this kind of trip in general, it’s paradise for anyone who wants to relax and discover the southern coast of Turkey and live on board. This is the second year that we have organised our sailing holiday through Boating Turkey. When we were planning our holiday in 2005 we stumbled across their website and were very glad that we did so . Necmi was extremely helpful providing us with lots of options to choose from and the prices were quite reasonable. In 2005 we sailed from Bodrum and this year after discussing our options with Necmi we sailed from Dalaman. Both times the process ran extremely smoothly. The filling in of forms took next to no time and it was very easy to transfer our deposit and final payment from a UK bank account. The yachts were in excellent shape and the service on the ground each time was very professional and welcoming. We would definitely choose Boating Turkey again for any future sailing trips.
