I was so sorry not to go as it sounded like they had a great time and Turkey looks spectacularly beautiful. I am recovering well from the back surgery (but definitely would have preferred sailing!) I appreciated all your help with the arrangements and your promptness on getting back to me with any questions. They found the boat to be very clean, and with all the details as specified. The depth sounder did not work on the GPS console in the cockpit, and there were some issues with the alarm setting. ( The alarm went off on the depth at 10 meters....which meant the depth sounder was in a constant alarm state(noise!) while anchoring. ). Before we decided on our blue voyage we went through the people's comments on the net and decided on Boating Turkey. We found out that all those people who recommended Boating Turkey were right. We started from Marmaris heading Fethiye. The Kemaloglu I was a beautiful and comfortable 29 meter boat built 2-3 years ago. The cabins and ensuites were very well appointed. We had plenty of space in the cabin and out on the decks. The food prepared by owner's wife Inci was delicious and healthy. The crew were polite and helpful. We don't want to comment much on the scenery, atmosphere and the beauty of the bays we visited. The words (at least our words) are not enough to describe it. But, let us quote from an Australian couple from Melbourne we met on the boat: "This is bliss, something you need to repeat every year, I'll suggest to my daughter to have her honeymoon on this cruise" We already booked another blue voyage in September, starting from Bodrum. Dear Necmi, Your Dalaman pick-up and drop off was ready to go and Gocek was a nice little town with easy shopping and free delivery, we stayed the previous night at Gorkem Apartments which were absolutely superb with a fabulous breakfast. It was easy to both depart from and return to the marina, we sailed to the East and made a number of stops including stern tie-ups and swing anchor and mooring evenings. 14 days is essential if you want to relax and spend a couple of nights in the towns like Kalkan and Kas where we found loads of good restaurants esp Zula and Ottoman in Kalkan. As for the sailing we all had a great time with Beaufort 2-7, the hand over was very simple and thorough, the staff were very helpful and the yacht was ready to go several hours earlier than the 16.00 hrs so we sailed out that afternoon and had our first meal at a 'jetty restaurant' a couple of hours away. The Turkish marine regulations for sanitation and mooring in many of the bays mean beautiful clean water to swim in straight off the boat morning noon and night. The neighbouring yacht at one place told us this was, (along with New Zealand) the best place to sail. As to yourself, you answered every email quickly, sorted out any problem that arose, and when we had a gear breakage it was fixed as quickly as possible. Dear Necmi, We really loved sailing in Turkey and everything was very professional. The boat was excellent and in fine conditions and the skipper was technically, as far as we can evaluate, very good. In the first day we change the itinerary that was initially (Marmaris – Bodrum) agreed with no problem and we did a bigger course and went to marvellous places and paradisiacal bays. It’s true that our experience with BOATING TURKEY has been very successful and we are left with huge desire to return to Turkey to continue sailing and keep discovering and enjoying so many places we did not know. Although our decision to come to Turkey was taken later the whole relationship during the contact, posterior talks and conclusion of the rental boat were excellent as well the state of the ship and all the support received in Yalikavak.
