I'd like to thank Boating Turkey and Necmi in particular! It happens very rarely when I'm completely satisfied with the services offered, but this was the case. In the beginning of may 2008 I was getting completely annoyed with constant delays and misinformation after numerous attempts to charter a catamaran via Russian or Greek companies. It was then I found Boating Turkey website, which straight away proved to be well laid-out and informative. So I sent a request for a catamaran charter and expected to wait another week or two for a reply, the usual time for the other companies. Imagine my surprise when 3 hours later I got my reply! One week later our holiday was fully booked and paid for. I was very pleased with this punctuality and thoughtfulness. I felt like I was talking to a friend rather than a company that's trying to sell me something. Another advantage of Boating Turkey was a very detailed contract, with no hidden costs, everything laid out clearly (apparently this happens very rarely). Our first charter with Boating Turkey was on board Lavezzi 40 catamaran, my husband and I, accompanied by a Turkish skipper Umit. Turkey, weather, wind - everything was great. Umit showed us a lot of beautiful little places which we would have never found ourselves. Our next charter was with a larger crew of 6 people, with a skipper named Hans. This trip was even better than the 1st, it was a perfect mix of active sailing, chilling in the little deserted bays, practicing various maneuvers on a catamaran, and discovering places of cultural interest. Hans impressed us with his complete knowledge of sailing and Turkey in particular, as well as his great sense of humor. About us: we are a married couple in our early fifties, my husband got his RYA Dayskipper qualification last year, I completed a RYA Competent Crew course. We decided to charter a few boats first with the skipper to feel completely confident when we charter the boat for ourselves. We rented a sail boat from Boating Turkey in october 2011 for one week in Marmaris. Everything was handled profesionally from the very beginning, all our questions were answered quickly and clearly. later, we had to change our rental period, it was accomodated quickly and without any charge. When we arrived to Marmaris, the boat was ready on time, everything was as promised. While sailing, we had to have a repair done. The repair team came where we were instead of calling us back to the harbor and was done surprisingly fast (within few hours). This was our first experience with Boating Turkey and it was very nice. This is the second year that we have organised our sailing holiday through Boating Turkey. When we were planning our holiday in 2005 we stumbled across their website and were very glad that we did so . Necmi was extremely helpful providing us with lots of options to choose from and the prices were quite reasonable. In 2005 we sailed from Bodrum and this year after discussing our options with Necmi we sailed from Dalaman. Both times the process ran extremely smoothly. The filling in of forms took next to no time and it was very easy to transfer our deposit and final payment from a UK bank account. The yachts were in excellent shape and the service on the ground each time was very professional and welcoming. We would definitely choose Boating Turkey again for any future sailing trips. Our holiday was the most relaxing, laid-back and enjoyable holiday we have ever had. Everything ran smoothly from the moment we were greeted at the airport to our last day when the crew spent their free time with us just to make sure we got away okay. Our crew were fantastic - friendly, easy-going and happy to accomodate and anticipate our needs. The food was fantastic and while it was at first strange to let the crew do everything for us, by the end of the week we were so thoroughly relaxed we found it difficult to fend for ourselves when we returned home! We spent every night in a different bay and saw some of the most amazing, blue waters we have ever seen. There is nothing quite like waking up in a beautiful little bay to dive off the boat for that first swim of the day. We even go to meet Bardem the very friendly seal who put his head in our boat and was rewarded with a pat on the head. I have been raving about our Turkish holiday to anybody who will listen and I would highly recommend Boating Turkey to anybody considering a Turkish sailing experience. We hope to return one day! I have enjoyed renting sailboats from the Moorings for over 30 years, but I must say BOATING TURKEY was every bit as professional and provided more personal attention to my needs and questions. The boat was in excellent condition with everything as promised. Since I am getting on in age and did not know the waters, I asked for a captain to help us.
