We just returned from one of the most decadent, luxurious, and relaxing vacations we have ever taken with our family. What a lovely surprise this was as I found out about Boating Turkey online. After reading the testimonials from other clients and contacting a few of them directly to get their first hand opinions, I was convinced by their rave reviews and felt confident that the trip would be a success. Necmi Artar, the tour manager, was a pleasure to work with. Together, we mapped out several destinations to sail to in the Gulf of Bodrum. Necmi was always a pleasure to work with. Every time I emailed him he replied immediately. I found this comforting and never felt the need to speak with Necmi by phone, or worried that some part of the trip would fall through the cracks. He answered every question I had with virtual smile on his face. The gulet we were on was immaculate, and very spacious. We never felt overcrowded. The crew were very accommodating. In fact, part way through the trip we decided that we wanted to spend some evenings in ports that had entertainment. The captain of the ship fully accommodated our request by turning the boat around and sailing in the other direction towards Greece. We were on the sea during the day and in some fantastic ports by night. Lastly, the food was fresh and very tasty. We started discussions with Necmi some 8 months before going on holiday to Turkey. After dealing with a number of other Agenices in Turkey we found that Necmi provided us with a complete overview of what we should expect. We were absolutely thrilled with the level of service provided by Boating Turkey and have to say that we returned from one of the most luxurious family holiday’s we have ever taken. On our first day there was a slight problem with the generator of the gullet (things that happen when out at sea) but this was all solved within two hours, we were provided with an upgrade on another Gulet that same day after Necmi arranged everything.We were absolutely grateful for this since we did not lose too much time and especially since we ended up on a nicer gulet at the expense of the agency. The crew on board were absolutely fantastic and food was delicious. Our holiday was the most relaxing, laid-back and enjoyable holiday we have ever had. Everything ran smoothly from the moment we were greeted at the airport to our last day when the crew spent their free time with us just to make sure we got away okay. Our crew were fantastic - friendly, easy-going and happy to accomodate and anticipate our needs. The food was fantastic and while it was at first strange to let the crew do everything for us, by the end of the week we were so thoroughly relaxed we found it difficult to fend for ourselves when we returned home! We spent every night in a different bay and saw some of the most amazing, blue waters we have ever seen. There is nothing quite like waking up in a beautiful little bay to dive off the boat for that first swim of the day. We even go to meet Bardem the very friendly seal who put his head in our boat and was rewarded with a pat on the head. I have been raving about our Turkish holiday to anybody who will listen and I would highly recommend Boating Turkey to anybody considering a Turkish sailing experience. We hope to return one day! This is the second year that we have organised our sailing holiday through Boating Turkey. When we were planning our holiday in 2005 we stumbled across their website and were very glad that we did so . Necmi was extremely helpful providing us with lots of options to choose from and the prices were quite reasonable. In 2005 we sailed from Bodrum and this year after discussing our options with Necmi we sailed from Dalaman. Both times the process ran extremely smoothly. The filling in of forms took next to no time and it was very easy to transfer our deposit and final payment from a UK bank account. The yachts were in excellent shape and the service on the ground each time was very professional and welcoming. We would definitely choose Boating Turkey again for any future sailing trips. Scott will unlikely have the time to respond so I though I would respond based on what he and my daughters said to me and my experience. I was so sorry not to go as it sounded like they had a great time and Turkey looks spectacularly beautiful. I am recovering well from the back surgery (but definitely would have preferred sailing!) I appreciated all your help with the arrangements and your promptness on getting back to me with any questions. They found the boat to be very clean, and with all the details as specified. The depth sounder did not work on the GPS console in the cockpit, and there were some issues with the alarm setting. ( The alarm went off on the depth at 10 meters....which meant the depth sounder was in a constant alarm state(noise!) while anchoring. ).
